Signups
Coordinate who brings what and who covers which task — with signup sheets tied to your group's events.
What are Signups?
Signups (also called contributions) let you attach a task or contribution list to an event. Members claim the items they'll take care of — bringing food, volunteering for a role, covering a shift, and so on.
Common uses:
- Potluck or team dinner — sign up to bring a dish, drinks, or dessert
- Volunteer roster — claim a volunteer slot at a community event
- Duty schedule — pick up a shift or a responsibility
- Equipment list — indicate who's bringing which gear
- Team assignments — members select their role for an upcoming event
Finding Signups
Tap Signups in your group's feature navigation. The Signups page shows two tabs:
- Upcoming Events — events with open signup sheets, showing total signups and available slots.
- Past Events — completed events with their final signup records.
Tap an event card to open its signup sheet.

Admin: Managing Signups Admin
Creating a signup sheet
Signup sheets are created when setting up or editing an event in the Calendar.
- Create or edit an event in the Calendar.
- Scroll to the Signups / Contributions section of the event form.
- Add items (slots) to the list. For each item, enter:
— Name — what the member is signing up for (e.g. "Bring pasta salad")
— Quantity — how many spots are available for this item
— Notes (optional) — any extra instructions - Save the event. The signup sheet is now visible to members.
Assigning members manually
Admins can assign any member to a slot on their behalf — useful when coordinating contributions for members who don't have the app handy.
Open the signup sheet, tap an open slot, and select Assign Member to choose from the group's member list.
Editing signup items
Return to the event in the Calendar and edit it to adjust the signup items — add new slots, increase quantities, or remove items that are no longer needed.
Reminders
Members who have signed up for a slot receive reminder notifications before the event — the same reminders set for the event itself. This helps ensure members remember their commitment.
Reminder timing is configured on the event in the Calendar. See the Calendar & Events guide for details.
Export & Print
Tap the print icon on any signup sheet to print it or export it as a PDF. The exported sheet shows all slots, quantities, and who signed up for each.
Useful for having a physical reference at the event or sharing outside the app.
Frequently Asked Questions
What plan do I need for signups?
Signups availability may vary by plan.
Can I sign up for more than one slot?
Yes. You can sign up for as many slots as you like on the same event, as long as spots are available.
Can I see who else has signed up?
Yes. The signup sheet shows all slots and who has claimed each one, so members can see what's still needed.
What happens if I forget to sign up before the event?
You can sign up at any time while the event is upcoming and the signup sheet is open. Admins can also assign you manually.
Can I sign up for a slot on behalf of someone who isn't in the group?
Only group members can appear on signups. If someone isn't a member, an admin can add a note to a slot or adjust the item description to account for external contributions.
Are members notified when a new signup sheet is created?
Members receive the event's standard notifications (push, email) when the event is created or updated. There is no separate notification specifically for a new signup sheet being added.
