What is Grūps App?
Grūps App is an all-in-one app for running a group. Any group. A family keeping in touch across time zones. A football club with 200 members. A neighbourhood association. A volunteer team. A church congregation. A small business with a remote team.
The problem Grūps App solves is one most group organisers know well: your communications are in one messaging app, your calendar is somewhere else, event sign-ups are a spreadsheet, and important files and photos are scattered across three different services. Coordination becomes a second job.
Grūps App brings it all into one place — and keeps it organised.
What's included
Communication — Threaded group chat, pinned posts, announcements, Q&A boards, and quick polls for group decisions. Everything in one thread, nothing getting buried.
Calendar and events — A shared group calendar with RSVP tracking, sign-up sheets, and reminders. Create events with guest allowances, custom banners, and public sharing links. Members get automatic notifications so nothing falls through the cracks.
Bookings — Let members book time with coaches, advisors, or resources. Hosts get configurable notifications, members get calendar attachments, and cancellation policies are clear upfront.
Files and documents — Shared file storage with version history, a recycle bin, and secure external sharing links. No more "which version is the latest?" emails.
Member management — A full member directory with custom fields, member groups (e.g. subteams, committees, rosters), and roster exports. Admins can control who sees what.
Location and maps — Real-time location sharing, geofencing, and meeting-point pins. Track your teenagers on the move.
Web pages — Groups can publish their own web pages — announcements, info pages, embedded links, and curated content — visible to members or the public.
Notifications — Every member controls exactly how they're notified. Push, email, and SMS notifications are all supported, and each member can configure their preferences per group and per notification type.
Public group page — Every group gets a public About page with a shareable preview link so prospective members can see who you are before they join.
Web first, mobile coming soon — Grūps App is available now on the web at grup.app. Native iOS and Android apps are in development and will be available in the App Store and Google Play soon.
How it's priced
Most features — chat, events, polls, shared lists, member directory, and posts — are available on the free plan, with no credit card required. Paid plans add higher member limits, file storage, booking tools, advanced member management, and more.

We're calling this a beta because we're still actively building. The core experience is solid — hundreds of features have been shipped across the last year of development — but we're a small team and there's more to come. Being in beta means you get early access to everything we're building, and your feedback directly shapes what we prioritise next.
