Grūps App v0.9.10 is a broad release with a clear through-line: less friction. Trips show you more useful information and fewer artifacts, help is always one tap away, and navigating the app with a keyboard is now a first-class experience. Here's everything that's changed.

Maps & Trips

The trips experience has been polished considerably. Completed trips now display map thumbnail previews directly in the list — in both light and dark mode — so you get a quick visual sense of each journey without having to open it. A handful of data quality issues have also been resolved:

  • Trips that had been sitting idle were incorrectly stuck showing as "in progress" — they now resolve to completed as they should
  • Multi-day phantom trips caused by GPS gaps (for example, switching your phone off at home overnight) no longer appear
  • Stop locations now show their resolved street addresses instead of a bare question mark

Tapping a stop in the trips list now zooms the map and drops a pin at that exact location. The selected stop is highlighted with a colored bar matching the member's color, making it easy to see at a glance whose stop you're looking at. Dark mode also received a few visual corrections — date headers and stop rows now use the right background colors throughout.

Help

Help is now woven into the app rather than tucked away. Every help page has been updated with real screenshots in both light and dark mode, so when you're looking something up you can see exactly what to look for rather than relying on descriptions alone.

A new help button is available throughout the app. Tap it and the relevant help page opens in a sheet right where you are — no navigation, no losing your place. On desktop, it opens as a centered modal instead. The Help link in the sidebar has been updated to match, opening the in-app sheet rather than taking you to a separate page.

Navigation & Menus

A unified ☰ menu is now present in the page header across the whole app. Secondary actions that were previously scattered or inconsistently placed are gathered here, keeping the interface tidy and predictable no matter which page you're on.

Accessibility

Keyboard navigation has received a meaningful upgrade. The ☰ menu supports full keyboard navigation — arrow keys move between items, Home and End jump to the first and last item, and Escape closes the menu and returns focus to where it was. The same focus-return behaviour applies to sheets and other overlays: closing anything puts your focus back exactly where you left it.

When the help sheet is open, keyboard focus stays trapped inside so Tab never escapes to the page behind it. These changes make a real difference for anyone navigating without a pointer, and they bring the app meaningfully closer to meeting accessibility standards.

Fixes

A few issues that have been causing quiet frustration are now resolved. The Members page was crashing and showing a blank list on certain group setups — that's fixed. Sign-in error messages have been made more accurate: "incorrect credentials", "too many login attempts", and "email already in use" each now show the right message rather than a generic fallback. Security updates have also been applied behind the scenes to keep your data safer.
