Grūps App v0.9.7 brings shareable invitations, a 30-day free trial on every paid plan, address search for places, and a content moderation queue for Pro and above — alongside a broad set of fixes covering Stripe billing, Android, maps, and notifications.

Invite Links & QR Codes

Inviting someone to your group no longer requires knowing their email address in advance. Admins can now generate a shareable invite link or a QR code that can be sent to anyone. Recipients follow the link, sign in or create an account, and land directly in your group. Admins can view all outstanding invitations and revoke any of them from the group settings at any time.

30-Day Free Trial

Every paid subscription plan — Pro, Team, and Premium — now includes a 30-day free trial. New subscribers can explore the full feature set of their chosen tier before being charged, making it easier to find the right plan for your group.

Address Search for Places

When creating or editing a place in your group, you can now search for an address and have the coordinates and location details filled in automatically. No more manually dropping a pin or typing in coordinates.

Content Moderation (Pro+)

Admins on Pro and above can now enable a content filter that intercepts posts and messages before they appear to members. Flagged content is held in a moderation queue inside the admin dashboard, where admins can approve or dismiss each item. This gives groups that need it a clear line of control over what appears in shared spaces.

Notification Preferences

Per-feature notification preferences — poll alerts, announcement notifications, event check-in reminders, photo tag alerts, and others — are now applied consistently across all features. Previously some features sent notifications regardless of a member's saved preference.

Demo Group

New users get a richer introduction to Grūps App. The demo group now includes more realistic sample content and a more guided walkthrough of the app's core features.

Bug Fixes & Polish

  • Stripe billing — plan changes, upgrades, and receipt emails now work correctly on web
  • Android — fixed keyboard behaviour, status bar appearance, biometric prompt, swipe gestures, and calendar integration
  • Maps — avatar display corrected, live tracking is smoother, and each member's route shows in a consistent per-member colour
  • Various fixes for events, reminders, the help navigation, lists, and the demo group experience
