What's New in v0.17.1
This release brings video downloads to your photo albums, a more capable Lists experience, and a new safety layer for everything shared in your groups — along with a wide batch of reliability fixes across trips, invites, and events.
Photos & Albums
You can now download videos from photo albums, whether one at a time or bundled into "Download all as ZIP" along with your photos. To help keep groups safe, photos and videos are now automatically screened before they appear — anything flagged gets held for review instead of showing up right away. We also fixed a bug where photos in group chats could get stuck and fail to load after being moved into an album.
Trips
Trip thumbnails now show a proper loading animation while they generate, instead of a plain placeholder. We also fixed a rendering bug that made water show up as a solid blue block covering roads and your route, resolved trips sometimes cutting off early and showing "Locating..." instead of the real destination name, and fixed a member's map avatar appearing blank instead of their initials when their photo failed to load.
Lists
Lists get a meaningful upgrade this release. You can now drag and drop to manually reorder your lists, and see who else is currently viewing a list in real time. We also fixed list updates occasionally failing to sync between devices, real-time updates not resuming properly after a browser tab sat in the background, and cleaned up visual glitches including a stray line on nested items and better tab contrast.
Check-ins & Events
Check-ins to events now update live on screen as they happen, with no refresh needed. We also fixed event reminders that were occasionally arriving over a week late instead of on time.
General & Reliability
A broad set of fixes rounds out this release. Invite links no longer occasionally generate one character shorter than intended, and the invite link popup's Close button now responds reliably to taps. Privacy policy, terms of service, and other legal pages have been fixed after failing to load, and account deletion confirmation emails are now sent as expected. We also standardized the look of Cancel/Save buttons across create and edit screens, fixed missing borders, backgrounds, and text colors on several screens in both light and dark mode, and added a "Reload" option for when your session gets stuck reconnecting after a network interruption. On top of that, background location tracking is more reliable during long drives and trips, a billing bug that could create a duplicate subscription when resuming an incomplete one has been fixed, and a missing "New" badge on the Albums section of the group home page is back where it belongs.
