Collections
Group related files and links together so members can find them easily.
Overview
Collections let you organize a group's Resources (saved links) and Files into named groupings — for example, "Getting Started," "Tutorials," or "References." Instead of browsing one long list of files and links, members can open a collection to see just the items that belong together.
A collection can mix files and links freely, and the same file or link can belong to more than one collection.
Creating a collection
-
Open Collections
From the group's Resources or Files area, open Collections. -
Tap "New Collection"
Enter a name (e.g. "Onboarding Docs") and an optional description. -
Add items
Search the group's existing files and links and select the ones to include. You can also add items later. -
Create
The collection appears in the group's collection list.
Adding files and links
When creating or editing a collection, use the item picker to search across the group's files and links by title. Selected items show a count (e.g. "3 items selected"). If the group doesn't have any files or links yet, add some first from the Files or Resources pages.
Managing a collection
Open a collection to see its items as a list. From here you can:
- Open an item — tap any row to jump straight to that file or link.
- Remove an item — tap the × next to an item to remove it from the collection. This does not delete the underlying file or link, only removes it from this collection.
- Edit the collection — tap Edit to rename it, change its description, or add more items.
Pinning and reordering
Pin a collection from its create/edit form to keep it at the top of the collections list — useful for the collection your group refers to most often.
Within a collection, drag items to reorder them, or use the up/down arrow buttons next to each item for keyboard-accessible reordering.
Deleting a collection
Open the collection and tap Delete. You'll be asked to confirm.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a file or link be in more than one collection?
Yes. Adding an item to a collection doesn't remove it from anywhere else — it can belong to as many collections as you like.
What's the difference between a collection and a folder?
A collection is a named grouping of existing files and links — it doesn't move or copy anything, it just organizes references to items that already exist in the group.
Can I search within a collection?
Collections are searchable from the main collections list by name. Within an individual collection, items are shown in a simple ordered list.
