Resources

A curated link library for your group — external websites, documents, videos, and tools all in one place.

What are Resources?

Resources is your group's shared bookmarks library. Add links to anything your members need — a team website, a training video, a shared Google Doc, a form, a podcast — and everyone can find them in one organized place.

Resources are great for:

Browsing Resources

Open Resources from your group's navigation. All added resources are shown as cards or rows, newest first by default.

View Modes

Toggle between Grid and List view using the icons in the toolbar. Your preference is saved automatically.

Filtering & Searching

Search

Type in the search bar to find resources by title, description, URL, or site name. Results update as you type.

Sort

Use the sort dropdown to order resources by: Newest, Oldest, Title A–Z, Title Z–A, or By Type.

Filter by type

Filter chips below the toolbar let you show only resources of a specific type — for example, only Videos or only Documents. Each chip shows a count of how many resources are in that category.

Filter by tag

If resources have been tagged, tag chips also appear alongside the type chips. Tap a tag to show only resources with that tag. Tag availability may vary by plan.

Adding a Resource

Tap the + button in the page header to open the resource editor.

  1. Paste or type the URL of the resource. It must be a publicly accessible link.
  2. Fetch a preview (optional, availability may vary by plan) — tap the preview button to automatically pull the page title, description, and thumbnail from the URL.
  3. Enter or confirm the title — required. If you fetched a preview, the title is pre-filled.
  4. Choose a resource type — see Resource Types below.
  5. Add a description (optional) — up to 500 characters.
  6. Add tags (optional, availability may vary by plan) — type a tag and press Enter. Existing group tags appear as suggestions.
  7. Tap Save.
Resources link to external content Resources are links, not file uploads. The linked content must be publicly accessible. For private documents, use the Files section to upload them directly.

Assigning a type to each resource helps members find what they need and adds a recognizable icon to the resource card. Available types:

Rich Previews

Depending on your plan, tapping the preview button (wand icon) next to the URL field fetches a rich link preview from the target website. The preview shows:

The preview auto-fills the title field if you haven't typed one yet. Where this isn't available, you type the title manually — the URL is still saved and links correctly.

Tags

Tags are short labels you add to resources to describe their topic or purpose. Where available on your plan:

Collections

Collections group related resources together into named sets — like folders. Where available on your plan, a collections sidebar appears on the left side of the Resources page. See the full Collections guide for details.

Browsing a collection

Tap any collection name in the sidebar to filter the main view to only resources in that collection. A breadcrumb chip appears in the toolbar with an X to clear the filter.

Creating a collection

Tap New Collection in the sidebar. Enter a name and save. The collection appears in the sidebar immediately.

Adding resources to a collection

Use the Add to Collection action on any resource (from the action menu or bulk action bar). Choose the collection from the list.

Pinning a collection

Pinned collections always appear at the top of the sidebar. Use the pin action in the collection's edit menu.

Resource Actions

Tap any resource to open its detail panel. From the detail panel (or the action menu on the card), you can:

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can add and edit resources?

By default, any group member can add resources. Admins can restrict this in the group settings. Only the person who added a resource (or an admin) can delete it.

Can I share a resource in chat?

Yes. Use the Share to Chat action on any resource. It posts a card into the group chat with the resource title and link. You can also attach resources directly from the chat attachment menu.

What's the difference between Resources and Files?

Resources are links to external content — websites, videos, documents hosted elsewhere. Files are actual documents uploaded to Grūps App. Use Resources for things that already live on external services (Google Drive, YouTube, etc.); use Files to store content directly in Grūps App.

How many resources can I add?

The limit depends on your group's plan. Your current count is shown in the limits bar at the bottom of the Resources page.
